Introducing Dr. Theresa Illingsworth, Your Bettendorf Chiropractor

The Illingsworth Family

My goal is to educate as many people of all ages on how they can live a healthier, more productive life through eating, moving, and thinking well every day!

I grew up right here in the Quad Cities. I graduated with a B.S. degree and a Doctor of degree in October of 2000 from Palmer College of Chiropractic. I have also completed one year of post graduate studies in pregnancy and pediatrics in 2006.

While in practice I noticed that some of my patients would reach a certain level of health and then plateau. They would still complain about being tired all of the time, having this symptom or that symptom, getting colds, eating a toxic diet, being overweight or having to take pharmaceuticals that they really didn’t want to take but didn’t know another alternative. So I asked what could I do or learn in order to show my patients how to form a stronger foundation for their body for lifelong health and well being. I found Nutrition Response Testing which is a non-invasive method of analyzing the body to determine the actual nutritional deficiency or toxicity that is causing you to move away from health and towards sickness and disease. Once these are found we can find the exact nutrients to correct the imbalance and start moving you towards a healthier life. Nutrition Response Testing is used by thousands of health practitioners of all types and specialties. In June of 2008 I graduated from the extensive Advanced Clinical Training program in Nutrition Response Testing. I am one of only 300 health practitioners in the country, and the only one in the Quad Cities area, who has graduated from this program.

I married the love of my life, Scott in 1998. We have three four legged kids, A thirteen year old house cat named Lilly, a twelve year old Chihuahua named Powder, and a five year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Gracie May. I love what I do and am always reading and trying to learn more in order to help serve my patients better. Most of my free time is spent with my family and friends. Going to the park and walking the trails is one of our favorite things to do and the dogs have a ball. Cooking is another one of my passions. The food we put into our bodies is the most important thing that we do for ourselves every day, so I love preparing healthy fresh food that I know is going to give my family the nutritional building blocks we need to stay strong and healthy.

Exercise, also is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves and is a big part of my life. I love being active and trying new challenges. It is such a great way to start the day. I receive wellness chiropractic adjustments on a weekly basis and I follow my Designed Clinical Nutrition program.

Enough about me! How can I help you? Give me a call or e-mail me using the link below so I can help you take your first step towards a healthier life for you and your family.

Yours in Health,
Dr. Theresa Illingsworth D.C.

Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!
Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more Bettendorf parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
